Good question. The more I read, meditate, and react (or not react) to the world around me - the more I get the urge to reflect and write. This is my way of putting those thoughts out into the world. My hope is that it will lead to personal growth, and if I’m lucky, maybe help push others toward growth as well.

I’m not an expert in anything, and my views are admittedly flawed. But if you’re interested in deeper reflections on politics, spirituality, and the things that make us human - it won’t hurt to take a peak.

I’ll also be up front - a lot of what I read, write, or generally think about - I’m going to pretend I understand it. But I don’t. And you know what? I don’t care - knowing something fully and comprehensively isn’t as important to me as wondering. Being attracted to Mystery. Continually having the dialogue with myself, my friends, and my God - growing - that’s what important to me.

"Anam cara," Gaelic for "soul friend," is a spiritual term popularized by Irish poet and philosopher, John O'Donohue, in his book by the same name. This is an attempt at promoting more compassionate presence in a world full of chaos.
